PROJECT NEWS

Jupiter: Park Improvement Projects Coming to North County (by: Commissioner Hal R. Valeche)

Riviera Beach: Phil Foster Park is getting a new artificial reef and snorkel trail.

Juno: New docks along Intracoastal provide access to Juno Dunes Natural Area.

Jupiter: The County will spend about 3.6 million on improvements to 11.7-acre Fullerton Island, which will include removing 6 acres of exotic plants, 59,000 cubic yards of sand, building a 19-foot observation tower and floating dock with six slips, clearing kayak paths and maintaining the island, one-third of which is under water. Jupiter paid $2.9M in 2008.

Jupiter: The town spent $400,000 to build the inlet village marina on A1A near Guanabanas. The town paid $3.9 million for the vacant 1-acre parcel opened in November, 2010. The marina provides free daytime docking for about eight boats.

Jupiter: The county is considering a $5 million plan to build three public boat ramps at the proposed waterway park at the northwest corner of Indiantown Road and the Intracoastal Waterway.

Jupiter: Construction is underway to raise two stationary US-1 bridges near Burt Reynolds Park to the statewide standard 12-foot height.
