Treasure Coast Adventure
Race
Saturday, March 23, 2013
Jonathan Dickinson State
Park

Jonathan Dickinson, the namesake for our venue, had his own
troubled journey through the area in 1696 when a hurricane shipwrecked him and his
family near present day Hobe Sound, FL. The local Jaega Indians then held them
captive for several painstaking days. And now we are inviting you to witness this
preserve that shows off what Florida looked like before it was settled by the
Europeans. But don't worry, it is not during hurricane season so we think it will
be safe. The 2013 Treasure Coast AR will mark the fourth time we have made the trip
down here to put on an event. It's the furthest south we travel and we love our
time spent every year. So come out for a fun day of racing mixed with history and
who knows, maybe our maps will lead you right to some precious treasures. Event by
Pangea Adventure Racing.
